Hummingbird has been named the winner of the 2026 Datos Insights Impact Award for Best Financial Crime RegTech Innovation. The firm's annual Fraud & AML Impact Awards program recognizes the innovators leading the industry and pioneering new and disruptive ways to fight financial crime.
Hummingbird’s win recognizes our AI-powered compliance platform, which serves as an intelligence layer across the entire compliance lifecycle, enabling financial institutions to scale team capacity, strengthen governance, and reduce risk across their business.
Datos Insights cited our combination of agentic automation with a compliance-grade architecture as a distinguished approach. While many compliance platforms have bolted on AI features with generic LLM capabilities through a thin interface layer, we’ve taken a fundamentally different approach. Hummingbird AI Agents are specifically designed for compliance work, configurable to each financial institution's own policies, procedures, and approved templates. The AI doesn't generate generic outputs. It generates outputs calibrated to what a specific institution's program actually requires.
The recognition caps a year of real platform expansion for us, including the launch of our warehouse-native Transaction Monitoring product and end-to-end Customer Screening solution, alongside the rollout of our AI Agents and AI Assistant.
“Financial crime compliance teams face a number of structural problems: routine casework consumes analyst capacity, inconsistent execution creates regulatory exposure, and fragmented tooling introduces delays and errors across the compliance workflow,” said Chuck Subrt, Fraud & AML Practice Director, Datos Insights. “Hummingbird’s unified platform addresses all three. Its AI Agents automate the high-volume, repeatable work that occupies much of compliance teams’ time, while the AI Assistant provides analysts with an investigative co-pilot for complex cases. The result is a platform designed to let experienced analysts focus on the judgment-intensive work that requires their expertise, rather than the mechanical tasks that currently consume much of their capacity.”
