Today, we’re excited to announce our summer product roundup. You'll find new and enhanced AI tools for investigators, plus many more features to help save time and boost productivity.
As compliance leaders, you're responsible for more than just maintaining the day-to-day operations. You’re building programs that support risk-based, repeatable decision-making across your team, often under increasing internal and regulatory scrutiny. Hummingbird is here to help.
At Hummingbird, we believe AI can strengthen your compliance program, giving you more control and making your team’s work more accurate and consistent. The key is leveraging customizable AI that’s purpose-built for compliance and capable of satisfying your team’s unique needs.
That’s what we’re delivering with two big enhancements to our AI tools for investigators: customizable AI case insights and AI write-ups for any case. With these enhancements, you decide how and when AI shows up in your investigations. You can tailor the AI based on your institution’s particular risks and your policies and procedures. The result: AI tools that are custom to your team, making them more productive while keeping you in control.
Ready for more? Let’s dive into everything that’s new and improved in Hummingbird:
We’re giving AI case insights more superpowers and you even more of a head start with your cases. Now, you can tailor the AI insights based on the different kinds of cases your team works and your investigative procedures – for truly customized assistance.
How it works is simple: You build a custom template with questions that you want the AI to answer every time. A great place to start is questions already in your standard operating procedures. For an enhanced due diligence (EDD) review, this could look like prompting the AI to answer specific questions about the customer, such as the presence of high-risk jurisdictions or findings from prior EDD reviews. If there’s a follow-up question about the case, no problem – just ask the AI!
One of the most critical steps in working a case, yet one of the hardest to do well? Writing up your findings – and doing so in a way that is clear and concise and effectively explains your decision. Hummingbird makes it easier and faster to nail this critical step.
Starting today, you can generate AI write-ups for any type of case. AI narrative templates let you decide where and how you want AI to help fill in your write-up. The templates give you control over the narrative structure and any standard language that should always be included. Our AI write-ups are designed to intelligently synthesize the relevant case data, handle complex math (like calculating the sum of certain transactions over a specific time period), and provide investigators with an accurate, comprehensive draft to review.
We know that having the right data is essential to effective compliance work. That’s why we’re giving you even more ways to manage and retrieve your data with three new APIs:
That’s not all! Check out all of our new and improved API endpoints.
Earlier this year, we released external data views, a new way to get a live view of data from your other systems inside Hummingbird. It’s as simple as connecting to your cloud data warehouse and specifying the data you want your team to see. In addition to cases, you can now set up external data views on profiles. This is perfect for surfacing dynamic information about people and businesses, such as account balances and recent activity. We’ve also added filtering and sorting to help you make quick sense of your data.
Hummingbird makes it easy to instantly screen customers for sanctions, PEPs, adverse media, and more, using our third-party apps. Now, you can configure your organization’s settings for each app, giving you control over what lists are searched against and allowing you to align the search parameters to your risk tolerance. You even have the option to set up multiple templates, which enables you to consistently use different settings depending on the specific type of review or customer. For example, you might have a template set up to always screen high-risk customers using fuzzy name match and a low match threshold.
Hummingbird enables risk and compliance teams to streamline their operations. Designed to support all kinds of work, from customer due diligence reviews to AML and fraud investigations, Hummingbird automates routine processes and tasks, while empowering analysts to work smarter and faster.
